Transportation

Know how you'll get there—and how you'll get around.

Start With Your Arrival

After a long flight, the last thing you want is to figure out transportation at the airport. Know your first move before you land.

Plan Your First Ride

Save Your Destination
Keep your accommodation name, address, and check-in details handy.

Check Your Options
Compare airport trains, buses, taxis, rideshares, and transfers.

Check the Time
Late-night and early-morning options may be limited.

Have a Backup
Know another way to reach your stay in case your first option isn't available.

Once you know how you're getting from the airport, think about how you'll move around each day.

You don’t need every ride planned. Know the transportation options you’re most likely to use once you’re there.

Once you know your options, get your phone ready to help you navigate them.

Know Your Main Options

Public Transportation
Check whether trains, metros, or buses will cover most of your trip.

Taxis & Rideshares
Know what’s available when public transportation isn’t convenient.

Walking & Biking
Great for shorter distances—check whether your destination is walkable or has convenient bike rentals.

Rental Cars
Consider one if your plans take you beyond well-connected areas.

Get Your Phone Ready

A few things set up before you leave can make getting around much easier once you arrive.

Set It Up Before You Go

Maps
Download an offline map in case you lose service.

Transit Apps
Find the app commonly used for local trains, metros, or buses.

Rideshare Apps
Check which services operate at your destination and set up your account.

Payment
See whether local transportation uses tickets, transit cards, contactless payment, or an app.

Once the everyday details are covered, decide which parts of your transportation are worth booking before you go.
